    Bills waived WR Malachi Dupre.
A Packers seventh-round pick in last year’s draft, Dupre got beaten out in Buffalo by undrafted rookie Robert Foster. Bills beat writers believe Dupre is a practice squad candidate, but it’s never a good sign when you can’t crack the bottom of the depth chart for the league’s weakest wide receiver corps.

Packers selected LSU WR Malachi Dupre with the No. 247 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Dupre (6’3/196) spent three years in Baton Rouge before turning pro, starting the final two and finishing with a career 98-1,609-14 (16.4 YPR) receiving line. A top-two wideout recruit out of high school, Dupre’s college stats were torpedoed by horrific quarterback play in LSU’s run-first offense. Built like Justin Hunter but not as straight-line fast (4.52), Dupre is a long, lanky, developmental wideout with no clear calling card. Like Hunter, Dupre struggled on college tape with press-man coverage and contested catches, lacking a my-ball mentality. Dupre’s best NFL projection is probably in the Andre Holmes range.

Seventh-round pick Malachi Dupre has vaulted ahead of fifth-rounder DeAngelo Yancey at Packers minicamp.
In three-receiver sets with vested veterans resting, Dupre worked alongside Davante Adams and Trevor Davis at Tuesday’s practice. “He’s definitely an accomplished receiver coming out of college,” said coach Mike McCarthy of Dupre. “He’s done a lot of good things. I’ll tell you, mentally, he’s picked it up probably the quickest of the perimeter group. He’s having a good offseason.” Dupre’s progress is worth monitoring in deep Dynasty leagues.

    Packers waived WR Malachi Dupre.
A seventh-round pick out of LSU, Dupre shined during rookie minicamp and OTAs but he suffered a concussion in Green Bay’s preseason opener and was quiet after that. The Packers may have interest in signing him to the practice squad.

Packers seventh-round WR Malachi Dupre suffered a concussion in the preseason opener.
In a scary scene, Dupre had to be stretchered off after taking a big hit in the fourth quarter. He was moving his arms, however, and gave a thumbs up on his way off the field. He was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
