Ball

Ball made 12 appearances for the Saints last year after two-season stint with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts. He’ll be a fringe roster prospect just like McFadden was.

Ball, 27 in July, played the past two seasons for the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts, amassing 142 tackles, seven sacks, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns. He ended his college career at Memphis after starting out at Florida State then going to Pearl River (Miss.) Community College.

Both players were fringe contributors in 2014, with Ball making two starts. Ball turns 28 in July, while Knox recently turned 26. Ball is an ex-CFLer who could head back north of the border.
