Chiefs signed BYU WR Mitch Mathews.
Mathews (6'6/222) started two-plus seasons for the Cougars, parlaying 152 career catches into 2,083 yards (13.7 YPR) and 24 touchdowns. A superb athlete for his size, Mathews clocked 4.49 at BYU’s Pro Day with a 36-inch vertical and 10-foot-9 broad jump. Mathews is old for a rookie after going on a three-year Mormon mission before college, but he’s flier worthy as a height-weight-speed prospect.
