Angels acquired 3B Adrian Rondon from the Rays for cash considerations.
Rondon, 20, was signed to a $2.95 million signing bonus in 2014, and was widely considered the top international prospect at that time. Unfortunately, he hasn’t hit at all since being signed, and he’s registered a line of .206/.271/.321 while not reaching above the Low-A level. He won’t turn 21 until July, so there’s plenty of time for him to turn it around. It just doesn’t appear likely at this point.
