Silverio

Silverio will be in recovery mode through the early part of the 2013 season. The 25-year-old outfielder batted .306/.340/.542 with 16 home runs, 11 stolen bases and 85 RBI in 132 games last season for Triple-A Albuquerque. He didn’t play at all this year.

He is now protected from becoming a minor league free agent. Silverio, 24, has a .292 batting average and .805 OPS over parts of six seasons in the minor leagues, including a .306/.340/.542 slash-line at the Double-A level this year.
