Arnaldo Hernandez struggled in Friday’s Cactus League start against the Dodgers, surrendering three runs on four hits in his two innings of work.
All of the damage against him came via the long ball, with A.J. Pollock launching a two-run bomb in the first inning and Joc Pederson tacking on a solo shot in the second. Hernandez was already an extreme long-shot to crack the Opening Day rotation in Kansas City, but his 7.94 ERA this spring isn’t doing him any favors.
