Keys had a dream season in 2013, slashing .341/.415/.390 between High-A Jupiter and the Suns. He doesn’t have any power, but Keys makes enough contact and has enough on-base skills (.390 career OBP on the farm) to someday earn a big league gig.

Keys was designated for assignment by the Fish at the end of June after batting .238/.371/.265 over his first 187 plate appearances at Jacksonville. The 23-year-old outfielder is not really considered a prospect.

Keys was sporting a weak .238/.371/.265 batting line in 187 plate appearances this season at Double-A Jacksonville. He will probably pass through waivers unclaimed and head back to Jacksonville.
