The Rays are expected to start Cesar Ramos in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Phillies.
Plans could change depending on how David Price fares in the first contest, but if Price pitches deep into the game as expected, the Rays will go with a bullpen start in the evening. Ramos boasts a 2.08 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over nine appearances this season but hasn’t started a game at any level since 2010.
