Valdez is vying for a spot this spring in the Angels’ bullpen. The 36-year-old righty posted a lackluster 5.87 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 45/14 K/BB ratio across 46 innings over a career-high 39 appearances last year with the Orioles.
