Chris Capuano, who missed his last start with soreness below his pitching elbow, threw a bullpen session Tuesday and pronounced himself fit to start Thursday.
His health allowed the Brewers to send Ben Hendrickson back to the minors.

Chris Capuano will start Saturday, but doesn’t know if it will be at Triple-A or for the Brewers.
Manager Ned Yost would prefer Capuano, on the DL with a thigh injury, get one more rehab start to build up strength. In that case, the Brewers would use a collection of relievers to get through Saturday’s game, hoping that Ben Sheets can eat innings on Sunday.

Chris Capuano will make his first major league start Saturday against the Pirates.
Capuano is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in two appearances since being called up from the minors. He may not make more than one start, and he isn’t worth owning in fantasy leagues.

The Diamondbacks are thinking about using Chris Capuano as one of their lefty relievers next season.
Manager Bob Brenly likes Capuano a little too much, using over John Patterson and Edgar Gonzalez as a starter last month. Relief should be Capuano’s long-term role, but it’s possible that he’ll get a chance to compete for the fifth spot in next year’s rotation.

Diamondbacks reassigned LHP Chris Capuano, LHP Mike Gosling, RHP Jose Valverde, RHP Beltran Perez, RHP Greg Aquino and RHP Jeremy Ward to minor league camp.
Capuano, coming back from Tommy John surgery, isn’t yet ready to pitch in games. He threw live batting practice Saturday. Of the pitchers above, Gosling and Ward have the best chances of making an impact for the Diamondbacks this year.

The Brewers anticipate getting Chris Capuano back into the rotation for a May 6 start in Cincinnati.
Capuano, out with a strained left thigh, will go through fielding drills Friday and if all goes well, pitch the next day in a rehab start.

Chris Capuano, who is coming back from a strained left quadriceps, threw in the bullpen Wednesday and reported no problems.
He’ll do some fielding this afternoon. Friday, he could pitch BP before going on a rehab assignment which could last for two starts. Capuano could be ready to return around May 20.

Chris Capuano has been cleared to make a minor-league rehabilitation start Monday at Class A Beloit.
Capuano has been on the DL since April 19th with a thigh injury, will likely pitch three innings before moving on to Indianapolis for a longer rehab start. The soonest he will probably return is during the Brewers’ May 18-20 series in Puerto Rico against the Expos. We would wait and see how Capuano fares against major leaguers before recommending him in fantasy leagues.
