Mariners signed OF Chris Pettit to a minor league contract.
Pettit failed to earn a spot with the Dodgers in spring training as a non-roster invitee and was released. He really struggled in the minors for the Angels last season after coming back from shoulder surgery, batting just .182/.279/.308 over 532 plate appearances.

Dodgers signed OF Chris Pettit to a minor league contract.
It’s not clear if the deal includes a spring training invite. Petit, a 27-year-old outfielder, was released by the Angels earlier this month after batting just .182 with a .587 OPS in 124 games between Double-A and Triple-A last season. He had seven plate appearances with the Angels back in 2009, but is likely to serve as organizational depth.

    Angels released OF Chris Pettit.
He was outrighted off the 40-man roster earlier this offseason and is now out of the organization. The 27-year-old outfielder batted just .182 with a .587 OPS in 124 minor league games this past season, so he’s probably not going to have many teams beating down his door to sign him.

Angels sent OF Chris Pettit outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Pettit is now off the Angels’ 40-man roster. The 27-year-old outfielder batted just .182 with a .587 OPS in 124 minor league games this season. He has only seven major league plate appearances in his career.

Rockies signed OF Chris Pettit to a minor league contract.
Pettit owns a decent .280/.365/.451 career batting line in the minor leagues. The 27-year-old outfielder seems doubtful to climb his way to Colorado this season, but he comes with little risk for the down-and-out Rockies.

Orioles signed OF Chris Pettit to a minor league contract.
It doesn’t include a spring training invite, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN. Pettit spent last season in the minors between the Rockies and Mariners. The 28-year-old outfielder has seven plate appearances in the majors, all with the Angels. He’ll likely serve as organizational depth.

Chris Pettit went 5-for-5 with two homers, two doubles and five RBI for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday.
The 22-year-old Pettit has four homers in 15 games since joining the Quakes and is hitting .339/.416/.571 with 19 steals at two levels. The Loyola Marymount product is another interesting outfield prospect for the Angels. He might fit in best as a long-term reserve.

Angels reassigned 2B Ryan Mount, RHP Sean O’Sullivan, RHP Jordan Walden, INF Adam Pavkovich, C Hank Conger, C Ben Johnson, OF Peter Bourjos, OF Bradley Coon, OF Chris Pettit, SS Andrew Romine and SS Hainley Statia to minor league camp.
No difficult cuts for the Angels yet, though Pettit did impress with a .348/.455/.435 line in 46 at-bats this spring. He may come in handy against left-handed pitchers later this season. Walden allowed two runs in six innings in his first spring with the major league club.

Chris Pettit went 5-for-6 with three doubles in a doubleheader for Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
Pettit hit .348/.455/.435 in 46 at-bats this spring and is at .375/.410/.571 after 16 games in Triple-A. It’s doubtful that he’ll ever be a regular for the Angels, but he could prove to be pretty useful against lefties if he gets the chances. He’s 12-for-22 versus southpaws in Triple-A.

Angels purchased the contract of OF Chris Pettit from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Pettit hit an impressive 348/.455/.435 in 46 at-bats this spring, but the Halos couldn’t find a fit for him on the Opening Day roster. He’ll serve as a backup outfielder and late-innings pinch-runner.
