Eric Hull tossed five scoreless innings and struck out six tonight for Phoenix of the Arizona Fall League.
This is the second time Hull has come up with an impressive outing against the dominant Surprise lineup. The 26-year-old isn’t considered much of a prospect, but he did finish with a 3.38 ERA and he struck out a batter an inning in 18 starts and nine relief appearances for Double-A Jacksonville this year. If he keeps turning in outings like this, some team might be intrigued enough to pluck him in the Rule 5 draft.
