Ethan Anderson had three hits and three RBI for Peoria of the AFL on Wednesday.
Anderson, the Orioles’ second-round pick in 2024, is 14-for-35 in the AFL after hitting a modest .248/.338/.339 between High-A and Double-A this year. He’s going to have a tough time lasting at catcher, which would be the case even if he wasn’t in an organization that employs Adley Rutschman and has stockpiled prospects at the spot. As a potential first baseman, it’s a must that he show more power next year. So far in the AFL, he has one homer and four doubles in nine games.
