    Marlins signed RHP Evan McKendry to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
    McKendry grew up in South Florida and went to the University of Miami, so he’s headed home. The 27-year-old, who has yet to pitch in the majors, had a 5.26 ERA in 14 starts and 10 relief appearances for the Triple-A affiliates of the Brewers and White Sox last season.

    White Sox acquired minor league RHP Evan McKendry from the Brewers for cash.
    The Brewers acquired McKendry from the Rays in 2023 and started to transition him to a long relief role last season. This year, he has made four appearances (one start) for Triple-A Nashville, allowing five earned runs on 10 hits in seven innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

    Brewers optioned C Jeferson Quero and OF Chris Roller to Triple-A Nashville, optioned RHP Bradley Blalock to Double-A Biloxi, and reassigned 1B Wes Clarke, RHP Sam Carlson, RHP Evan McKendry, RHP Tobias Myers, and RHP Carlos Rodriguez to minor league camp.
    Quero is one of the Brewers’ top prospects. In 2023, he hit .262/.339/.441 with 16 homers and five stolen bases across 381 plate appearances with Double-A Biloxi. He is considered one of the better catching prospects in the minor leagues and could up making his major league debut sometime during the 2024 season.

    Brewers acquired RHP Evan McKendry from the Rays for C Alex Jackson.
    The 25-year-old hurler was a ninth-round selection by the Rays from the 2019 draft class. He has registered a 4.38 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 95/28 K/BB ratio over 96 2/3 innings at Triple-A Durham this season. He’ll add some much-needed rotation depth for the Brewers.
