Yankees signed C Francisco Diaz to a minor league contract.
Diaz showed some life this past season in Low-A, but he turns 26 years old next March and will be nothing more than minor league catching depth for the Yankees. Diaz was signed out of Venezuela by the Phillies in 2007.
