Orioles acquired SS Jean Carmona in a three-for-one deal from the Brewers for 2B Jonathan Schoop.
Carmona was signed by the Brewers as an international free agent in July of 2016, and he’s flashes big-time potential in his short time in the Milwaukee organization. He’s also struggled for most of the 2018 season, but keep in mind he doesn’t turn 19 until Halloween. He has three above-average tools in his run, arm and glove; respectively, and he also has some power potential in his bat. There’s a ton of volatility here, but he has the upside to be a starting shortstop someday.
