The Rockies announced Monday that Jeff Bridich has stepped down as general manager.
It’s being called a mutual agreement as a parting of ways. In turn, Greg Feasel has been named club president/chief operating office and will oversee baseball operations in addition to leading the club’s business operations. As for Bridich, Rockies fans probably aren’t going to be sad to see him go. He has been with the organization for the past 17 years, including the GM role since October 2014. They had playoff appearances during his tenure, but generally seem to be flailing, especially after the Nolan Arenado trade and with the future of Trevor Story in question. The team will name an interim general manager and plans to conduct a search for a permanent replacement following the season. Hopefully Dick Monfort trusts that person and let’s them do their job to put the team on the right path for the future.
