Orioles signed RHP Jerry Spradlin to a minor league contract and assigned him to Double-A Bowie.
The Orioles are building quite a collection of veteran right-handed relievers. Spradlin, who last pitched in the majors in 2000, had a 0.40 ERA in 22 1/3 innings for Camden of the Atlantic League before joining. He’s unlikely to make it any further than Triple-A.
