Giants placed RHP Joel Peguero on the 60-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
Peguero winds up on the shelf and will miss at least two months after suffering a significant hamstring strain. The 29-year-old reliever has posted a 2.38 ERA across 11/3 innings for the Giants since making his season debut back in early May.

Joel Peguero left Sunday’s game against the Rockies with an apparent injury.
Peguero, 29, was hit by a comebacker in his hand, and was unable to continue. J.T. Brubaker has taken over on the mound in the eighth inning.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #44
Caleb Kilian got the eighth in a tie game against the Pirates on Sunday and pitched a scoreless inning despite walking two.
He had to deal with a Luis Arraez error to start the inning, but he induced a double-play ball after the first walk and then got a flyout to end the inning. Keaton Winn again entered early today, getting three outs between the sixth and seventh. Joel Peguero might have closed if the Giants had taken a lead. He pitched a scoreless ninth and then was charged with two runs, including the automatic runner, while getting one out in the 10th. With Ryan Walker officially out of the picture, Kilian is probably the most rosterable reliever in the Giants pen right now. However, Erik Miller should also enter that mix when he comes off the IL.

Giants activated RHP Joel Peguero from the 15-day injured list.
Peguero returns to San Francisco’s relief corps after missing nearly six weeks at the outset of the season recovering from a left hamstring strain. The 29-year-old reliever compiled a solid 2.42 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 17/8 K/BB ratio across 22 1/3 innings in his big-league debut last year.

Giants placed RHP Joel Peguero on the 15-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.
Peguero emerged as a reliable reliever for the Giants in the second half of last year and was supposed to be in the late-game mix to open this year, but his hamstring shut him down since early in camp. He has been throwing recently, and it’s possible he’ll return before the end of April.

Joel Peguero has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.
Peguero is facing a multi-week absence and is a virtual lock to open the regular season with a trip to the injured list. The 28-year-old righty has been battling a hamstring issue in recent weeks and finally underwent an MRI that revealed the severity. He posted a strong 2.43 ERA – 3.43 xERA – across 22 1/3 innings over 17 appearances for the Giants in his big-league debut last year.

Joel Peguero (hamstring) threw a bullpen session without issue on Saturday.
The 28-year-old right-hander reported feeling significant improvement from the tight left hamstring that had sidelined him during the week. He still has plenty of time to ramp up in time for the start of the regular season.

Giants’ right-hander Joel Peguero has been slowed early in spring camp due to tightness in his left hamstring.
The Giants are going to keep him limited over the next week or so in an effort to combat the issue. Peguero is expected to be a key cog in the club’s bullpen for the 2026 season, so they’ll need to make sure that he’s healthy and ready to go by the end of March.

Giants selected the contract of RHP Joel Peguero from Triple-A Sacramento.
Peguero made a strong impression back in spring training after signing a minor league contract with the Giants and receives his first call-up to the big leagues after compiling a pedestrian 5.10 ERA across 42 1/3 innings (35 appearances) this season on the doorstep of the majors. The 28-year-old righty will operate in middle relief for San Francisco.
