Royals acquired RHP Jon Perrin from the Brewers for RHP Sal Biasi.
Perrin, a 27th-round pick in 2015 out of Oklahoma State University, has registered a 3.80 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 44/20 K/BB ratio in 47 1/3 innings this season between the Double-A and Triple-A levels. The 25-year-old right-hander can’t really be considered a prospect, but he might get a look out of the Kansas City bullpen before the end of the year.

Brewers RHP prospect Jon Perrin earned a career-high 14 strikeouts Tuesday for Low-A Wisconsin.
He wasn’t credited with the win, but it was still an impressive showing for the 22-year-old, who allowed just six hits and three runs (two earned) over 6 2/3 innings. He’s tied for the Midwest League lead in strikeouts with 29 and is second behind Dayton’s Franderlyn Romero in innings pitched (24). Perrin has yet to allow a walk this season.
