Kyle Amendt got four outs, including two via the K, to pick up a save for Salt River of the AFL on Thursday.
Amendt has a good chance of surfacing in the Arizona pen next year after posting a 2.86 ERA and a 75/24 K/BB in 44 innings at three levels this season. Since being taken in the ninth round of the 2023 draft, he’s fanned 100 of the 233 batters he’s faced (43%).
