Rockies signed OF Michael Choice to a minor league contract.
The 30-year-old former top prospect was a first round selection (10th overall) by the Athletics in the 2010 draft. After spending two years playing in the Korea Baseball Organization, Choice spent the 2019 season toiling in the Mexican Leagues where he hit a monstrous .350/.410/.621 with 20 homers, 77 RBI, five swipes and an 85/28 K/BB ratio over 356 plate appearances in 83 games. He’s an intriguing low-risk signing for the Rockies.

Michael Choice has been shut down for the remainder of the 2012 season due to a fractured hand.
Choice was batting .287/.356/.423 with 10 home runs, 15 doubles and 58 RBI in 91 games this year at Double-A Midland. The former No. 10 overall pick should climb to the Triple-A level at some point next season.

Athletics recalled OF Michael Choice from Triple-A Sacramento.
The 23-year-old outfielder was enjoying a nice season at Sacramento, hitting .302/.390/.445 with 14 homers and 89 RBI in the hitter-friendly PCL. He’ll serve as additional depth on the bench, but becomes interesting in AL-only leagues if he can find consistent at-bats.

Rangers acquired OF Michael Choice and INF Chris Bostick from the Athletics for OF Craig Gentry and RHP Josh Lindblom.
The Athletics have now traded their top draft picks from 2008-2010. Choice, a first-rounder in 2010, made his major league debut this past season and owns a .290/.376/.482 batting line in the minors. While his power has tapered off over the past two seasons, it’s still a bit surprising to see the Athletics give up on his tools. The 24-year-old could be in the mix for the starting left fielder job if the Rangers stand pat, but we have a feeling they have some more moves up their sleeve.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said that the team plans to start Michael Choice or another right-handed bat in the designated hitter spot against lefties.
Mitch Moreland will form the long side of the platoon against right-handers. Choice could also see starts in center field versus southpaws in place of Leonys Martin, who has struggled against lefties. So, even after the Shin-Soo Choo signing, Choice could still receive a decent number of at-bats. The 24-year-old might have some value in AL-only leagues.

Orioles signed OF Michael Choice to a minor league contract.
Choice, 27, batted .246/.304/.456 with 14 home runs and 39 RBI over 71 games with the Indians’ Triple-A affiliate last season. The former top-100 prospect hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2015 and is mostly organizational depth at this point.

The Brewers have sold Michael Choice’s contract to the the Nexen Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Choice, 27, has hit .241/.330/.447 with nine homers between Double- and Triple-A this season. The former top-100 prospect hasn’t panned out and trying his luck overseas probably isn’t a bad idea at this point.

Michael Choice was only in the majors for one day and struck out in his lone at-bat. Spencer Patton has been recalled from Round Rock in a corresponding move.
