Dodgers 3B prospect Mike Ahmed pounded three homers Sunday in a win for High-A Rancho Cucamonga.
Ahmed guided the Quakes to a 10-9 win over High Desert with a go-ahead blast in the 10th inning. All of his home runs were of the solo variety. The 24-year-old has been firing on all cylinders lately. He’s hit .395 over his last 10 contests while boosting his average from .270 to .286. Ahmed now ranks seventh in the California League in runs scored (68), seventh in slugging percentage (.502) and ninth in home runs (15).
