Michael Wilson doubled three times, walked and scored four runs for Single-A Inland Empire on Wednesday.
Wilson still hasn’t reached Double-A five years after being selected in the second round, but he’s a prospect. The 22-year-old is currently hitting .308/.378/.551 in the California League. An outstanding athlete with emerging power, he’ll probably move up to San Antonio for the second half of the season.

Double-A San Antonio’s Michael Wilson went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double and a walk on Tuesday.
Another quality outfield prospect for the Mariners. The switch-hitting Wilson is 8-for-21 with two homers since moving up to Double-A last week. He hit .315/.389/.555 in 200 at-bats for Single-A Inland Empire.

Mariners sent OF Mike Wilson outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
Wilson was designated for assignment earlier this month and accepted a minor league assignment after clearing waivers. The 28-year-old outfielder batted .148 (4-for-27) in eight games at the major league level last season.

Mariners designated OF Mike Wilson for assignment.
Wilson made his major league debut last season at the age of 28, but failed to impress while batting just .148/.179/.185 in 28 plate appearances. He seems likely to accept a spot with the Mariners’ Triple-A club.

Mets signed OF Mike Wilson to a minor league contract.
According to Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger, the deal does not include an invite to major league spring training. Wilson, 29, batted .239/.343/.452 with 12 homers and a .795 OPS in 71 games last season with the Mariners’ Triple-A affiliate and figures to serve as organizational depth for New York.

Michael Wilson went 3-for-5 with a homer Thursday for Waikiki of the Hawaiian Winter League.
Wilson had a disastrous minor league season, hitting just .182/.272/385 in 208 at-bats for Double-A West Tenn and getting himself booted from Seattle’s 40-man roster in the process. Fortunately, he has picked it up in what’s typically a pitching-dominated league, hitting .353/.452/.794 with three homers in 34 at-bats. He’s always had plenty of tools, so there’s still a little bit of hope for the 24-year-old.

Michael Wilson tripled, doubled and drove in three runs Tuesday for Waikiki of the Hawaiian Winter League.
With a .346/.453/.628 line in 78 at-bats, Wilson has been the best hitter in the four-team league. This comes after a season in which he hit just .182/.272/.385 in 208 at-bats in Double-A. The Mariners will have to decide whether to put him back on the 40-man roster or expose him to the Rule 5 draft. He was able to clear waivers because of his struggles last season.

Michael Wilson hit his sixth and seventh homers Thursday for Waikiki of the Hawaiian Winter League.
Wilson is tied with Mat Gamel and Ian Gac for the home run lead in the four-team league. Those three also top the circuit in OPS, but at 1171, Wilson has the lead by more than 100 points.

Michael Wilson hit two more homers and drove in five runs Monday against the Brewers.
Wilson, who was released and later re-signed by the Mariners last month, leads the team with seven homers and 18 RBI this spring. It won’t earn him a job, but at least his name will be sharp in the team’s mind when an outfielder is needed this summer.

Mariners sent RHP Jesus Delgado outright to Triple-A Tacoma; reassigned LHP Tyler Johnson, RHP Chad Cordero, C Jamie Burke, INF Chris Burke, INF Chris Woodward and OF Michael Wilson to minor league camp.
The Mariners were able to get Delgado through waivers after he gave up three runs in 6 2/3 innings this spring. Kept over him was Shawn Kelley, even though he had a 7.71 ERA. Johnson and Cordero weren’t yet healthy enough to compete for jobs. Jamie Burke’s demotion makes Rob Johnson the backup catcher. Wilson wasn’t a possibility for the roster, even after hitting eight homers this spring.
