    Padres re-signed 2B Nate Mondou to a minor league contract.
    Mondou last appeared in the majors back in 2022 when he got into one game for the Athletics. The 29-year-old journeyman infielder spent last season at Triple-A El Paso, batting .267/.367/.404 with five homers and 11 steals in 443 plate appearances. He’s merely emergency organizational depth at this stage of his career.

    Padres reassigned RHPs Yovanny Cruz, Kevin Kopps, Lake Bachar, Moises Lugo, Nolan Watson, and Drew Cartlon to minor league spring training along with OFs Tirso Ornelas and Robert Perez Jr., C Chandler Seagle, and INF Nate Mondou.
    All of the players were long shots to make the MLB roster but will continue to hone their skills and get ready for their respective minor league seasons. The Padres now have 60 players in MLB camp.

    Mondou got into one contest for the Athletics during the 2022 camoaign and spent all of last season in the White Sox system, posting a serviceable .269/.380/.439 triple-slash line with 14 homers and eight steals in 472 plate appearances between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte. The 28-year-old infielder provides the Padres with some extra minor league depth moving forward.

    White Sox signed 2B Nate Mondou to a minor league contract.
    Chicago continues to throw resources at the keystone this offseason. Mondou got into one game last season for the Athletics after batting .283/.374/.431 with seven homers and one steal across 449 plate appearances for Triple-A Las Vegas. The 27-year-old second baseman represents additional organizational depth for the White Sox.

    Athletics sent INF Nate Mondou outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.
    Mondou made his MLB debut with Oakland at the tail end of the 2022 regular season. He’s now off the 40-man roster but will remain part of the A’s organization for the time being.

    It’s the first trip to the majors for the 27-year-old. Mondou earned a look in the final week of the season but posting a .805 OPS with seven homers this year at Las Vegas.
