And you think you’re having a bad day?

New York Mets v Milwaukee Brewers

MILWAUKEE, WI - SEPTEMBER 15: Jordany Valdespin #1 of the New York Mets slides into third with a stolen base during the top of the 4th inning against the Milwaukee Brewers during the game at Miller Park on September 15, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Photo by Mike McGinnis/Getty Images)

Meanwhile, down in the Mets-Tigers game, Jordany Valdespin homers off Justin Verlander in the first inning, then has his day go downhill fast later in the game:

Bizarre game continues. Valdespin turns to bunt, gets nailed by 94 mph fastball from Verlander in really bad spot. New runner, new pitcher.

I’ll give you one guess as to what that bad spot was. Assuming Valdespin survives, he’s gonna have some extra bunt training tomorrow, methinks.

Spring training: it’s FAN-tastic.

UPDATE:

Valdespin says he is OK ... Asked where he got hit: “My dick,” Valdespin said.

Oh.
