The Indians placed Carlos Carrasco on the 15-day disabled list on Monday. He is expected to miss four to six weeks with a strained hamstring. With a roster spot available, the club announced it has activated outfielder Michael Brantley from the 15-day DL.

Brantley underwent right shoulder surgery in November to repair a torn labrum. He is not in Monday night’s starting lineup against the Twins. Brantley appeared in seven rehab games with Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus, managing a pair of doubles in 25 plate appearances.
