The Diamondbacks have traded pitcher Mike Bolsinger to the Dodgers for cash considerations, Nick Piecoro of AZCentral.com reports. The club had designated Bolsinger for assignment on Thursday.
Bolsinger, 26, made his major league debut this past season. He made nine starts and one relief appearance for the D-Backs, compiling a 5.50 ERA with a 48/17 K/BB ratio in 52 1/3 innings. He fared better with Triple-A Reno, posting a 3.93 ERA with an 88/32 K/BB ratio in 91 2/3 innings.
The Dodgers designated pitcher Jarret Martin for assignment to make room for Bolsinger on the 40-man roster.
