Marlins outfielder Ichiro Suzuki had two hits in his first three at-bats on Monday night against the Braves, allowing him to tie and then pass Lou Brock (3,023) for sole possession of 25th place on baseball’s all-time hits list.

Ichiro’s first hit was a one-out double in the first inning but he was ultimately stranded. He flied out in the third inning, but came back to the plate in the fourth inning and hit an RBI single to right field as part of a five-run inning for the Marlins.

Here’s the single which allowed him to pass Brock:

Ichiro would single again in the sixth, so he’s now at 3,025 hits.
