I mentioned this in the recaps, but it’s worth its own item: Mike Trout sustained a groin injury while running to second base in the second inning of last night’s win over the Brewers.

Trout will probably sit out of today’s game but he said last night that he isn’t planning on getting an MRI. He thinks he’ll be good to go after two days off -- tomorrow is a offday for the Angels -- and could be back in the lineup for Friday’s game against the Cubs in Chicago.

Trout, who is quit good, is hitting .406/.592/.938 on the young season.
