The O’s could use a DH/corner bat and the Mariners have one. So this would make sense:

As for Perez, the Orioles’ greatest strength last season was its bullpen. This year it’s a different story and they’ve already added Francisco Rodriguez to bolster the pen. Perez has been an effective enough lefty specialist, though not one you’d necessarily trust over the long haul.
