9:55 AM: Hoynes has corrected his report to say that it is only Salazar, not Perez, who is being investigated:

Danny Salazar is only Indians player being investigated on possible sexual assault complaint. No complaint filed against Roberto Perez.

9:46 AM: We have no details on this yet, but Paul Hoynes of the Plain Dealer just tweeted this out:

Cleveland Police Dept. investigating possible sexual assault complaint against Cleveland Indians Danny Salazar and Roberto Perez.

Following up on @hoynsie‘s tweet: source says no charges have been filed; Perez isn’t being investigated. Incident occurred early morn 1/23.

Salazar, 25, is expected to be a key part of the Indians’ rotation this year.
