Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that free agent starter James Shields has a five-year, $110 million offer on the table from an unknown team, based on word from two baseball executives. Shields is apparently looking for an even higher offer.

Rosenthal also ran down a number of teams who might have interest in Shields, but lists reasons why they’ve cooled off. Among those still remaining, the Yankees, Tigers, and Angels would make the most sense if they are willing to forfeit a draft pick for the privilege of signing the right-hander.
