Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left Sunday’s game in the bottom of the fifth inning with a right quadriceps strain, according to MLB.com’s Thomas Harding.

Melvin Mora came on to play second base and Clint Barmes slid over to short. Tulo was 1-for-2 with a single before exiting and is batting .311 on the year with a .381 on-base percentage and .429 slugging. It would obviously be a major blow to the Rockies if he were to require a stay on the 15-day disabled list.

Tulowitzki will be reevaluated Monday, and we should all know more about the severity of the injury by then. The 25-year-old has played in all 30 of Colorado’s games this season. For now, he’s being called “day-to-day.”
