The Twins have signed outfielder Logan Schafer to a minor league contract, MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger reports. He has reported to Triple-A Rochester.

Schafer, 29, signed a minor league deal with the Nationals during the offseason but was cut during spring training after hitting .200 in 20 at-bats. In the five previous years, Schafer hit .212/.286/.319 in 292 games at the big league level with the Brewers.

Schafer will provide organizational outfield depth for the Twins.
