Indians manager Manny Acta said Thursday that Nick Hagadone will be optioned back to Triple-A Columbus when Asdrubal Cabrera returns from the bereavement list next week.
Hagadone hasn’t allowed a run in two appearances since being called up from the minors this week, striking out four and walking one over 2 1/3 innings. Assuming the Indians follow through with their plan of sending him back down, we figure it won’t be long before he makes his way back to the big leagues.

Indians optioned LHP Nick Hagadone to Triple-A Columbus.
An expected move, with Asdrubal Cabrera coming back from the bereavement list. Hagadone allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings during his brief stay with the big club and figures to make his way back to the Indians’ bullpen at some point soon.

Nick Hagadone pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his first career save Monday in the first game of the doubleheader against the White Sox.
Jairo Asencio was going for a three-inning save in an 8-4 game until giving up two runs in the ninth. Rather than turn to Chris Perez or Vinnie Pestano then, the Indians went to their young left-hander, and it worked out fine. Hagadone walked Alejandro De Aza with two outs, but he retired three of the four hitters he faced. He’s allowed just one run in 8 1/3 innings during his two stints with the Indians this season.

Indians optioned LHP Nick Hagadone, 1B Russ Canzler to to Triple-A Columbus.
Hagadone was hoping to win a spot in the bullpen, but he was unable to do so despite a 2.53 ERA in nine spring appearances. He should get a shot at some point with the big club. Canzler got off to a hot start this spring but ultimately faded. The Indians also sent Andy LaRoche, Chris Ray, Chris Seddon, Robinson Tejeda and Luke Carlin to minor league camp.

Indians recalled LHP Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus.
He’ll replace the injured Rafael Perez (lat) on the active roster. Hagadone had a brief stay with the big club earlier this month, allowing one run over 3 1/3 innings. He has a chance to stick in the Indians’ bullpen for the long haul.

Indians recalled LHP Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus.
Hagadone nearly secured a spot in the Cleveland bullpen this spring after registering a 2.53 ERA in 10 2/3 Cactus League innings. He’ll function as a middle reliever.

Nick Hagadone underwent surgery Tuesday to repair his fractured left forearm and is out 8-10 weeks.
Hagadone suffered the injury last Friday night while venting after a poor performance. The Indians have placed him on the disqualified list, though that move is being challenged by the MLB players association.

The MLB players association has filed a grievance against the Indians on behalf of Nick Hagadone.
Hagadone underwent surgery earlier this month to repair a fracture left forearm which he suffered when he punched something after being removed from a game against the Rays on July 6. The Indians optioned him to Triple-A Columbus and then placed him on the minor league disqualified list. The 26-year-old will not be paid while he’s on the list, which is the reason for the current dispute.

Indians optioned LHP Nick Hagadone to Triple-A Columbus.
The Indians will go with a 24-man roster Saturday before announcing a corresponding move. Hagadone’s demotion isn’t a surprise given his recent struggles, but it leaves Tony Sipp as the only left-handed bullpen option with Rafael Perez (lat) sidelined.

Indians placed LHP Nick Hagadone on the disqualified list.
The move is being made after Hagadone suffered a self-inflicted left hand injury after his appearance Friday. He was optioned to the minors Saturday, but the official move has been changed and he will not be able to receive payment while on the disqualified list. He holds a 6.39 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 27 appearances for the Tribe this season.
