Reds acquired 3B Nick Quintana from the Tigers for C Tucker Barnhart.
Quintana, a second-round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft out of the University of Arizona, struggled to a .186/.317/.328 batting line in 89 games (375 plate appearances) between three different levels of the Tigers’ minor league system in 2021. He just turned 24 years old last month.
