Brewers acquired RHP Noah Zavolas and OF Ben Gamel from the Mariners for OF Domingo Santana.
Zavolas, a 22-year-old right-hander, was an 18th round selection by the Mariners in last June’s draft. He posted a 3.03 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 41/11 K/BB ratio across 38 2/3 innings in his first taste of professional baseball last season, split between High-A Modesto and Low-A Norwood.
