Bridwell struggled to an 8.12 ERA in 88 2/3 innings last season with the Triple-A affiliate of the Angels. The 28-year-old will be very low on the Twins’ organizational pitch depth chart entering the 2020 campaign.

As pointed out by Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, this is technically the third time that Angels GM Billy Eppler has acquired Bridwell since April 2017. The 27-year-old right-hander was released by Oakland on Sunday, after getting claimed away from the Halos in January. He’ll likely work out of the starting rotation at Triple-A Salt Lake.

Bridwell was claimed off waivers back in January but was quickly outrighted off the 40-man roster after that. He’s now on the lookout for a new organization.
