The Marlins are deciding between Guardians bench coach Craig Albernaz and Rangers associate manager Will Venable as their new manager, according to Sportsgrid’s Craig Mish.
Those two are also up for the White Sox job. Venable, a former Padres outfielder, is a veteran of the managerial search circuit, which Albernaz is a newer name. However, it turns out they were both within a day of each of other in 1982; Venable turns 42 on Tuesday and Albernaz on Wednesday.
