Prince Fielder was named MVP of the Single-A Midwest League.
With six games remaining in Beloit’s season, Fielder is batting .313 with 27 home runs and a club-record 109 RBI. He could skip high Class-A ball next year and move on to Double-A.

First baseman/DH Travis Hinton of Single-A High Desert was the star of the All-Star game between the California League and the Carolina League.
Hinton, who is behind Prince Fielder in Milwaukee’s system, won the home run derby with 16 homers, then took home star-of-game honors by going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Prince Fielder and Corey Hart both had two homers and six RBI for Triple-A Nashville in a game at Colorado Springs yesterday.
Fielder had five hits, while Hart went 3-for-5. The Brewers didn’t make any trades at the deadline to open up spots for Fielder or Hart. It’s no lock that either will have jobs next year, but they’re trying to prove their ready.

Brewers recalled first baseman Prince Fielder from Triple-A Nashville.
Fielder’s second stint in the majors will likely be shorter than his first, assuming that Brady Clark doesn’t suffer any additional setbacks. He shouldn’t have any fantasy value while pinch-hitting.

Prince Fielder added his 21st homer of the season on Friday when he took Cardinals starter Chris Carpenter deep for a two-run shot in the third inning.
The homer was just Fielder’s fourth of the year with men on base, and all four of those have been with just one man on. He’s hitting .281 with runners on base, so it’s probably just a fluke that so much of his power has occurred with nobody on. We wouldn’t expect that trend to continue, which could lead to higher RBI totals in the future.

Prince Fielder continues his hot hitting for Single-A Beloit. He has 10 home runs through 15 games in July.
Overall, Fielder is hitting .312 (.410 OBP) with 22 home runs and 81 RBI in 95 games.

Prince Fielder has been moved to the No. 3 spot in the Brewers’ lineup.
Fielder has batted No. 3 for the past five games and manager Ned Yost intends to keep him there. “I want to get him used to that position,” Yost said. “If you look around and see the hitters we’ve got on our club, he’s the best hitter we’ve got all the way around. It’s his time.”

Prince Fielder homered for the second straight game Monday against the Reds.
Fielder had just one homer in 26 games before his solo shot on Sunday. His second in two days was his 11th overall. He also had a single in the game.

Price Fielder hit a two-out walk-off RBI single against Astros reliever Dan Wheeler on Friday.
The two clubs had been tied at 2-2 since the fourth, but the Brewers rallied against Wheeler and Brad Lidge in the ninth. Wheeler was brought in to face Fielder with two runners on base and two outs, but the left-handed first basemen smacked a single to right to win the game instead. The RBI was Fielder’s 60th of the season, but just his fifth in 16 games this month.

Prince Fielder went 2-for-4 with three RBI against the Reds on Tuesday.
Fielder’s bases-loaded double in the third accounted for all three of the Brewers’ runs tonight. He’s batting .326 with eight homers and 27 RBI in 45 games played. Fielder is capable of maintaining those rates in the power department, but it will be difficult for him to hit over .300 while striking out almost once per game.
