Randy Newsom picked up his 20th save for Double-A Akron by getting two outs on Thursday.
Newsom, who made a name for himself over the winter by announcing that he was selling shares of himself, is currently sporting an 0.87 ERA in 31 innings and getting four outs on the ground for every one through the air. While he’s hardly lined up to be the Indians’ closer of the future, it’d be nice to see the submariner get a look in September, if not earlier.
