    Reid Redman has retired.
Redman, 28, is probably best known for being a part of the Aaron Crow deal with the Marlins. He never pitched higher than the Double-A level, but posted a strong 2.86 ERA over 110 relief appearances in the minors.
  • KC Relief Pitcher
Royals acquired RHP Reid Redman and LHP Brian Flynn from the Marlins in exchange for RHP Aaron Crow.
A former infielder, Redman has taken to the mound quickly, posting a 2.00 ERA with 93 strikeouts over 90 innings in his first two pro seasons. He reached Double-A last season and turned 26 last week, so it’s possible he could challenge for a promotion in 2015 even with his limited experience as a pitcher.
