    Cubs released RHP Robinson Lopez.
    Robinson, who turns 21 in March, was acquired from the Braves as part of the Derrek Lee deal in August of 2010. He pitched mostly as a reliever last season, posting a disappointing 5.35 ERA and 35/30 K/BB ratio over 69 innings with Class-A Peoria.

    The 19-year-old Lopez is already starting games at the Single-A level, but the results haven’t been so strong. Through 92 2/3 total innings this season, he has posted a 4.37 ERA, 70/43 K/BB ratio and 1.37 WHIP.
