If Rondell White could hit a home run today against Tampa, he would become just the eighth player to hit one against all 30 MLB teams.
It would also give him a homer in 37 different ballparks, fifth on the all-time list.

The Royals had hoped to re-sign Rondell White in the event that they lose Raul Ibanez, but that no longer appears to be a possibility.
White wants a multiyear deal and has priced himself out of Kansas City’s range. His demands will eventually have to come down, but the Royals might have their left field situation settled by then.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Rondell White will bat fifth behind Ryan Klesko this year.
The San Diego lineup could look like: Ramon Vazquez, Mark Loretta, Mark Kotsay, Klesko, White, Sean Burroughs, Xavier Nady and the catcher spot.

Rondell White expects the Padres will trade him before the July 31 deadline.
The Padres can save about $2.5 million by dealing White, who is in the final year of his contract. The projected returns of Phil Nevin and Jason Bay from the DL adds to the equation. Those factors mean the Padres may be willing to part with White for whatever they can get.

The Marlins now appear more open to giving up Ramon Castro in exchange for Rondell White.
If the Padres don’t trade for Brian Giles and Jason Kendall, they’d like to have Castro as their catcher of the future. The Marlins appear very likely to trade for some outfielder, but they’re also looking closely at Raul Mondesi and Reggie Sanders.

GM Kevin Towers says the Padres intend to keep Rondell White for the rest of the season, and pursue players such as Brian Giles in the offseason when their shopping power has increased.
The Marlins had been a player for White, while the Padres have been rumored for days to be in negotiations for Giles and other from Pittsburgh. ''It’s a low probability that we’ll make any trades (today),’' Towers said.
