Guardians acquired RHP Ross Carver from the Diamondbacks for RHP Carlos Vargas.
Carver represents a long-term lottery ticket for the Guardians after finishing the 2022 campaign with an underwhelming 5.06 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 128/42 K/BB ratio across 117 1/3 innings (24 starts) between High-A Hillsboro and Double-A Amarillo in Arizona’s minor league system.
