King is now reporting that outfielder Rudy Guillen, shortstop Joaquin Arias, second baseman Robinson Cano and right-hander Ramon Ramirez are four of the five players the Rangers have to choose from in the trade. Henn may or may not be the fifth. Even if he is, he’s not very likely to be taken. Although Henn has about as much upside as anyone in the group, the other four are better prospects.

Henn has been used as a spot starter for Columbus, making six starts among his 18 appearances, with a 4.01 ERA. The Yanks also recalled infielder Andy Cannizaro, a .276 hitter at Columbus.

The Yankees need to assess Henn to determine how and if he fits into their 2007 plans as he’ll be out of minor league options next spring.

The deal includes an invite to spring training. Henn, 30, had a 2.79 ERA and 61/29 K/BB ratio over 61 1/3 innings as a reliever this season with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate. He hasn’t appeared in the big leagues since 2009 as a member of the Orioles.

Henn hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2009 and will join Dave Bush in signing with a Korean team. He posted a 3.64 ERA in 15 appearances at Triple-A Tacoma.

Henn spent last season in the Korean Baseball Organization and hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2009. He’s merely organizational depth.

It will be his second big league start, with his debut last season also coming against the Devil Rays. ''We’ll see what we see,’' manager Joe Torre said. If he can avoid getting shelled like his first start, Henn will likely be in line to start again in place of Kevin Brown.

Henn could be in line for two starts if the Yankees decide to place Brown on the DL. That second start would come against the Mets.
