Stephen Pryor (groin) has moved his rehab assignment from High-A High Desert up to Triple-A Tacoma.
Pryor struggled in his first rehab appearance but rebounded with three strikeouts over two perfect innings Wednesday. He should rejoin the Mariners in a setup role soon.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
The Mariners are expected to promote right-hander Stephen Pryor before Friday’s game in Chicago.
Pryor has registered a gorgeous 0.64 ERA and 39/12 K/BB ratio in 28 innings this season between Double-A Jackson and Triple-A Tacoma. He should do well in middle relief and may work his way into a setup role.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Stephen Pryor (groin) threw a simulated game on Friday and will begin a rehab assignment with Class-A High Desert on Sunday.
After he pitches in a few games with the Mavericks, he’ll head to Triple-A Tacoma before returning to the Mariners bullpen. He’s been impressive in limited action, posting a 1.69 ERA through his first 5 1/3 innings with the Mariners, and will return to a setup role in the bullpen upon his return.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Stephen Pryor (groin) is expected to be placed on the disabled list Wednesday.
Pryor is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday after straining his groin muscle on a play at the first base bag in the ninth inning on Tuesday night. It’s a tough break for the rookie right-hander, who has allowed one run over his first 5 1/3 innings in the big leagues.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Mariners placed RHP Stephen Pryor on the 15-day disabled list with a strained groin.
Pryor suffered the groin injury Tuesday while attempting to make a play at first base. The 22-year-old rookie is rocking a 1.69 ERA through his first 5 1/3 major league innings. He should be back in three weeks.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Stephen Pryor (groin) played long toss from up to 110 feet Tuesday.
It’s his first bit of throwing since landing on the DL with a strained left groin muscle. The Mariners haven’t set a timetable for him, but Pryor seems likely to return sometime around the All-Star break if all goes well.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
The Mariners are expected to call up right-handers Stephen Pryor and Carter Capps on Tuesday.
Pryor, 23, allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings with the Mariners earlier this season prior to suffering a groin injury in mid-June. Capps, 21, has a 2.47 ERA and 12.5 K/9 over 69 1/3 innings in the minors. Both are hard throwers and potential closers-of-the-future. Carlos Peguero is expected to be sent down to the minors as the Mariners welcome the newly-acquired Eric Thames to the roster.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Stephen Pryor picked up his third win since joining the Mariners by getting two outs Wednesday against the Indians.
Pryor has made just 13 appearances, all in relief, for Seattle, but he’s been in the right place at the right time so far. In 13 major league innings, he’s allowed three runs, all of them coming on solo homers.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Mariners purchased the contract of RHP Stephen Pryor from Triple-A Tacoma.
Pryor had been nearly unhittable this season at Double- and Triple-A, boasting a 0.64 ERA and 39/12 K/BB ratio in 28 innings. He figures to work in middle relief initially, but the hard-throwing right-hander could possibly work his way into the later innings.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher
Mariners recalled RHP Stephen Pryor from Triple-A Tacoma.
The move was actually made on July 31. The hard-throwing right-hander struck out two in a scoreless inning of work Friday against the Yankees and could be a set-up man or closer down the road.
