Brewers signed LHP Travis Webb to a minor league contract.
The deal includes a spring training invite. Webb, 28, posted a 4.81 ERA and 67/34 K/BB ratio over 58 innings this past season with the Reds’ Triple-A affiliate. He’ll likely serve as organizational depth in 2013.

Brewers reassigned LHP Travis Webb and RHP Rob Wooten to minor league camp.
Both players were in camp as non-roster invitees, and neither player had a legitimate chance of cracking the Brewers’ 25-man Opening Day roster. They’ll serve as organizational relief depth this year for Milwaukee.

Travis Webb (shoulder) threw live batting practice to hitters for the first time on Tuesday.
A non-roster invitee, Webb has been slowed in camp by a muscle strain behind his left shoulder. Though the ailment has surely killed any slim hopes he had at a roster spot, he could now be ready to appear in a game. “I feel great,” Webb said. “I’m going to go out and throw and just see where I’m at. I really want to be out there. I feel like this is an important time for me. But again, I want to make sure that I’m ready to go.”
