Mariners signed OF Willie Argo to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old has spent the past two seasons playing for St. Paul in the Independent American Association. In 2016, he hit .294/.408/.513 with eight homers, 41 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 68 games. He has an intriguing blend of power and speed, but will have to prove himself in the minor leagues before earning a shot with the big league club.
